WHAT?
What am I doing?
I am Family Caregiver. I am my Mother’s Caregiver. And this is “what” I do…
I am responsible for monitoring, administering, policing, preparing, ALL THINGS associated with my Mother’s life—daily and nightly.
WHAT?
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Accompany my Mother to medical appointments, and other important places
- Manage medication
- Follow the prescribed medical plan
- Grocery Shopping
- Run Errands
- Prepare meals
- All Household chores including doing the laundry
- Provide bathing and dressing assistance as needed
- Aid in Personal Care
- Keep proper care records
- Financial Administration
- Appointment scheduling and maintaining weekly calendar
- Encourage socialization and participation in community activities in order to get the patient out of the house
- Communicate with medical professionals about the patient care plan (Patient Advocate)
- Assist with mobility
- Constant SPILL, DROP, & FALL PATROL in order to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
- EVERYHING AND ANYTHING ELSE THAT YOU CAN POSSIBLY THINK OF
WHAT?
I make sure that my Mom is fine because she is well taken care of.
