“YOU ARE” – THE COMMENT

In a prior edition of A CAREGIVER’S CONSCIENCE, I described my feelings when listening to the lyrics of Michael Buble’s song, “LOST.”  In the comments, a Reader wrote the words below–Author Unknown.

I felt the words.  I live the words.  The words touched my heart and soul.  I thought I would share them with you.

For you….
The compass spins, the map is old,
A daily story left untold.
You wander through a shadowed maze,
And lose yourself in heavy days.

But in this fog where you might stray,
You are the light that clears the way.
Each gentle act, each guiding hand,
Is building strength you command.

Though weary thoughts may fill your night,
You anchor someone in their flight.
You are the harbor, safe and warm,
The quiet courage in the storm.

Don’t judge the wandering of your heart,
You are the most essential part.
For in the love you give away,
You’ll find yourself again one day.

Remember that “You Are.”

Wherever, you are on your spiritual journey, those words are for you.

I look forward to the day when I find myself again…

Perhaps in a way, I already have.
